To be truly successful in this role, you will have a strong market profile with personal credibility and established networks within the Federal and ACT Governments, and demonstrated capability in building sustainable senior relationships amongst key decision makers across public sector customer base.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Growing the current customer relationship matrix through business development initiatives that leads to greater account penetration through vertical point sales and horizontal sales and solutions
  • Developing the market sector by generating sales leads, services or solutions
  • Assessing potential partners, performing competitive research (in conjunction with Marketing, evaluating proposed deals/partnerships and analysing and developing business cases for new business opportunities
  • Participating in major deals negotiations, maintaining contact with key clients and identifying and steering opportunities for business improvement
  • Developing new products, new services or new solutions by combining several existing products/services and generating leads to establish a corresponding market in order to create new business for the organisation
  • Strong relationship building skills at all levels, ensuring strategic engagement with key tier-1 and tier-2 clients
  • Possess a degree of authority and presence to key market stakeholders
  • Coordinating the gathering of industry sector intelligence to optimise sector share and opportunities
  • Be responsible for this travel companys retention and help grow and new business for corporate travel
  • Responsible for leading a dynamic sales team and management of a small sales team (a mix of junior and senior staff members)
