Our Leadership Team
Geoff Curran - Managing Director
Geoff Curran has over 20 years experience as a specialist recruitment practitioner. He has worked in Australia and the UK to develop a unique, professional approach to recruitment, which aims to satisfy both job-seekers and employers.
Geoff began his recruitment career in Perth in the early 1980s. Joining Arthur Andersen & Co to establish its executive recruitment division, he completed numerous recruitment assignments spanning a range of occupational categories.
In 1989, Geoff moved to Sydney and at Morgan and Banks specialised in recruiting for accounting and finance positions. He spent two years in London further developing his skills in this field. Geoff returned to Sydney in 1994 and joined Margot Davis and Company, a recruitment consultancy which specialises in marketing, advertising and marketing communications. He subsequently became a shareholder and a director.
Geoff established Curran + Associates in 1998. He aims to offer a superior standard of service to employers and job-seekers by delivering solutions in a responsive and timely manner.
Geoff has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Western Australia, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association of Australia and the Australian Teleservices Association.
James Kopp - Regional Director

James Kopp joined Curran & Associates in January 2004 to establish the Melbourne office. Previously James operated his own search consulting firm specialising in call centre and IT executive recruitment in Melbourne. His career in executive search began in 1996 in Sydney with Kris de Jager & Associates before joining Korn/Ferry Futurestep, the world's largest executive search firm.
During his career in executive search James has been involved in key appointments across all major industries including banking & finance, IT&T, transportation, retail, and automotive.
In his previous career James was with Toyota Motor Corporation Australia for 15 years where he held executive positions managing regional offices and national divisions.
